Halloween decor

Hey gal's! Its October, and it will soon be Halloween! Are you dressing up this year? I sure am! Im going as
a vampire, and this is the closest pic of what I will look like :)

I know! Totally fab right? Enough with me, what are you dressing up as? Leave your answers in the comments below.

Okay so I will be showing you some DIY's to spook up your house for Halloween, and who knows, I might do another post on some Halloween food! Yay! Okay so all of these are really easy, they don't require much time, and they aren't expensive. Im so exicited for Halloween! Okay I've said Halloween 5 times already but this is what the post is about. Lets get started!

(1) Spooky eyes.

Okay so these are really spooky and yet so simple to make, and your recyling all at the same time! So all you have to do is get some toilet roll (with the tissue off, obviously) and cut out different shapes for the eyes, like in the pictures. Then just pop a glow stick into them, and hide them in the bushes, so people will see the light shine through the eyes, and they wont be able to see the cardboard. Very spooky, indeed! I would probably use a red or green glow stick, but it's completely up to you.

(2) Glow in the dark jar.

Again, this is so simple, and it using glow sticks like in number 1. All you have to do is get a clean jar, pour in some water, cut open a glow stick and pour the contents in. Simple!!!

(3) Glow in the dark alien heads.

This will only take up 2 minutes of your time to make around 5, so there brilliant for last minute decorations. Blow up some green balloons, put a green glow stick in, tie the balloon and then just draw faces on the balloons with black marker. And your done! :)

(4) Decorating pumpkins.
This looks tricky but it's not. Its actually simple. Take a pumpkin, some ribbon, some glue and some buttons. Set the pumpkin down. Tie the ribbon into a bow, and glue it onto the top of the pumpkin, where the stem is. Next, glue the buttons onto the pumpkin spelling out the word "BOO" And your done.

(5) Vampire pumpkin.
Again, it looks hard but is simple and will only take a minute or two. Take a small pumpkin, and carve out a hollow, large enough to fit plastic vampire teeth into. Once it's carved, pop the vampire teeth in (you can buy them in nearly any supermarkets) and glue on two small black beads for the eyes. Then your done! :)

(6) Witch in a jar.
These are the easiest things to do. Take a jar and pour in some water, followed by a few drops of green food colouring. Take the witch hats (next decor down, number 7)  and put them onto the jar and your done!

SELF-EXPLANATORY (click on the pics to make them bigger)

                                                  (7) Witch hats (Use for decor number 6)

(8) Black banner
Enjoy!!! Halloween food post coming up next! :)

  2. I've always dressed as a witch whenever I do go trick-or-treating because I have long black hair and thick eyelashes so I look really spooky. By the way, your costume looks awesome too!
